Design icons for special moments
Stelton continues to strive to be a leading company in design, and our iconic thermos jugs and elegant designs form the core of our vision. We aim to focus on the beautiful details that enhance everyday life and make special moments memorable. Through collaborations with designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Erik Magnussen, Peter Holmblad, and many more, Stelton has refined its design style over time, and these partnerships reflect our ongoing commitment to creating timeless and practical products.
Cylinda-line: Timeless Iconic Design Since 1967
Peter Holmblad, stepson of Arne Jacobsen, had long tried to persuade Jacobsen to create a series for Stelton, but without success. One evening in 1964, during a family dinner at Arne Jacobsen's, a moment of inspiration was captured on a napkin - just a simple drawing. This idea would forever change the history of Stelton. After seeing Peter Holmblad's sketches, Arne Jacobsen took a napkin and began to draw what would later become the teapot in the Cylinda-line series.
"During the product development phase, Arne was sometimes extremely difficult. He would not accept it when I came back from the factory and said that something technically couldn’t be done. At that time, there was no experience with this cylindrical production method. We had to invent it in order to produce Cylinda-line."

Inspired by Cylinda-line
Arne Jacobsen's vision for Cylinda-line was to enrich the ordinary consumer with good industrial design. With his design, he realized some of the most important principles of functionalism – total proportionality between form and function. Behind the iconic EM77 vacuum jug is the story of how Stelton strived to create a vacuum jug that harmonized with the Cylinda-line series, which Arne Jacobsen had designed a decade earlier in 1967. Erik Magnussen was assigned the task and designed the EM77 vacuum jug in 1977, which shared the same cylindrical form and material expression as the acclaimed Cylinda-line series.
45 years after the debut of the original EM77 vacuum jug, we launched the Stelton EM77 electric kettle in classic steel. Function and design merge in this cordless electric kettle, which exudes the same refined elegance as the iconic EM77 vacuum jug.
Pier Portable Lamp: An Inherent Friendliness
The Pier portable LED lamp is created with a friendly approach to both form and function, inviting everyday use. The comfortable lighting makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, and with a practical carrying handle, it is easy to transport.
"My designs should have an inherent friendliness. They should have a form and function that makes you want to use them in your everyday life."
- Søren Refsgaard, Designer
"I am naturally driven by a desire to create products that are simple in both function and design. For me, there is a fine line between something being simple or banal. It is this balance that I explore for every product I create. How much can I strip away without the design losing its character or soul?”
