Bark

The inspiration for this autumn’s bark colour is found in nature. It refers to the tree trunks of the forest and the sense of intimacy and presence that you instinctively experience when you allow yourself to be engulfed by nature.

Sharp design with soft shapes

The Solis oil lamp is simple, almost monumental in its mode of expression. Designer Søren Refsgaard has played with opposites in materials, shapes and colours. The oil lamp is made of metal - a choice of material that refers to Stelton’s design DNA, but with processing and finishing, the material has acquired an extremely organic and welcoming shape.

When the oil lamp is in use, you can see the flickering flame. When the oil lamp is off, the wick is minimal and Solis’ monumental shape is thus included as a sculptural element in the decor.

This autumn, the EM77 vacuum jug and Stelton bread bag are both launched in a delicate Lavender. A colour with a touch of dusty pink, but with blue undertones that make it a bit edgier. With coffee or tea on the EM77 jug and warm buns in the iconic Stelton bread bag the day is set for a good start.

‘Okiru’ means ‘to wake up’ in Japanese, and Japanese designer, Kazushige Miyake, wanted to create an alarm clock in a stylish and functional design that invites a calm start to the day.

Design darling turns a corner

This year marks 60 years since the Maya cutlery series by Norwegian designer Tias Eckhoff saw the light of day. To mark the occasion, this autumn we will be relaunching: a steak knife, a long drink spoon and a cake knife and server as additions to the existing collection. All three products have previously been in production and are based on the original drawings with simple modifications for today’s needs.

The cutlery has also been exhibited in some of the world’s leading museums such as MoMA in New York and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

In designing the range, designers Halskov & Dalsgaard have toyed with the interplay that occurs when different materials are combined. The cut outs in the matt lacquered stainless steel are razor sharp and open up to the softness and tactility of the sand-coloured cotton bag.
