When you enter to one of Steltons owned websites, Stelton collects information about you. Below you can read about the information collected, including how information is processed, for what purpose, who has access to the information and whom to contact if you have questions or objections relating to the information collected.

Stelton A/S collects information about you in two ways:

– By you providing personal information

2. Cookies

2.1. What are cookies?
The first time you visit one of Steltons websites you will automatically receive one or more cookie(s). A cookie is a small text file stored in your web browser (eg. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.) which registers you as a unique user. It is a cookie which does you do not have login to a site, such as, every time you visit the site.

2.2 Use of cookies?
Cookies helps Stelton A/S to see more about your visit.

In order to determine who is visiting Stelton A/S’s websites, we use cookies to keep demographic and user-related statistics. We collect information about how much time you spend on our website, which sections and how many articles you have read, if your computer has visited us before, what browser and operating system you are using, IP numbers, which ads you view, etc. We aim to present ads that may be of interest to you. 2.6 Cookies from Google (traffic measurements)
Stelton A/S use cookies from Google. The measurements are performed in strict compliance with the privacy law regulation.

3. Personal Information

3.1 What is personal information?
Stelton A/S asks for your personal and user-related information when you purchase services on a website or sign up for newsletters, competitions, etc. It is primarily information such as name, address, postcode, email, gender and age, but can also be information about your interests, knowledge of the Internet, etc. In connection to the purchase or signing up for a service, mandatory information is clearly marked on the form. Submission of other information in connection to the purchase or signing up for a service is voluntary.

3.2 For how long do we store personal information?
When you purchase products on our online store, we need your personal data as evidence until the service is paid for and delivered, any cancellation deadline expired, and the deadline for payment has expired. Then the information can be archived. 

3.3 What do we use personal information to?
The personal information we collect about you will be used primarily to complete the purchase or service for which the information is collected. The information is also used by Stelton A/S in order to get more familiar with you. The use may include studies and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies, and displaying content and advertising that are customized to your interests and hobbies.

This information will not be disclosed to third parties unless you give separate acceptance thereto or if legislation relating to personal data processing, exceptionally allows for the transmission of general customer information.

3.4. Protection of personal data
In accordance with the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data, your personal information is kept secure and confidential. We store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities, and our security measures are checked regularly to determine whether our user information is handled properly, and in accordance with your rights as a user.

However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of data transfers on the internet. This means that there is a risk that a third party, unjustified forces access to information, when data is sent and stored electronically. Be aware that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

3.5. Changes to the processing of personal data
The rapid development of the internet means that changes in our treatment of personal information may be necessary. We reserve the right to update and amend these guidelines for the processing of personal data. If we do, the date of “last updated” at the bottom of the page will be changed. In the event of substantial changes we will notify you in the form of a visible message on our sites.
